CT River Valley Cases Overview/Timeline

All of the known Connecticut River Valley unsolved cases started in 1978 and persisted through the 80's.  The last known connected case was in 1988 with Jane Boroski, the only known survivor.

  • Proximity where all the victims were found was located in the CT River Valley.

  • All victims were women between the ages of 16-37.

  • All throats were cut & there were 20+ stab wounds around the abdomen and neck area, most often in a V pattern.

  • All victims murdered except Lynda Moore, were found in remote wooded areas.

  • Mary Elizabeth Critchley, Bernice Courtemanche, Ellen Fried, and Eva Morse were found along the Sugar River.

  • Mary Elizabeth Critchley and Eva Morse were found murdered 500 feet apart, 5 years apart.
